Challenge:
Hopper Engineering Associates was tasked with being the Engineer of Record for a large yearly tech fair occurring at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, CA. The project included reviewing 8 large tents, 9 geodesic dome enclosures, 6 steel shade structures, approximately 2 dozen lighting structures, and all of the staging and rigging installed inside the tents and dome spaces.
Resolution:
Multiple site visits and extended stays were performed to ensure all proper documentation was provided to the client. While on site, HEA performed and compiled all structural information required for permitting and provided permit feedback in a timely manner. As a result of these efforts, the client receivedtheir required city and venue sign off three days earlier than expected.
