Tyonek Full Platform Assessment

Challenge:

A full platform assessment of an existing offshore platform in Cook Inlet, Alaska is required for a client. The structural integrity of the existing platform is to be evaluated per API standards for the deck loads, the environmental loads (including significant ice loads), and seismic loads. Other evaluations such as a pushover analysis and a fatigue analysis are also required.

Resolution:

A computer model was created to evaluate the platform under various load cases. Using the model, multiple analyses are performed, including a seismic analysis, collapse analysis, and fatigue analysis. The final submittal includes a set of reports summarizing all analyses performed and recommendations (as needed) for structural upgrades and allowable deck loads.
