Challenge:
Provide structural support to carry new skiff to the extant fire boat structure while minimizing interference with the main deck.
Resolution:
Our engineering team designed a system that supported the introduction of a skiff to a support structure without compromising the use of the main deck area. The extant structure was further evaluated to determine its integrity. The new and existing beams and columns were configured and verified using RISA. Finally, construction documents were provided for approval from the engineers of the Client Agency.
