Resort Atrium Fall Protection

Challenge:

Riggers must walk along the resort atrium roof framing to provide rigging for the facility. A fall protection system is required to prevent them from impacting the ground below in the event of a fall.

Resolution:

Our engineering team designed a fall protection lifeline system to provide the necessary coverage for workers walking along the roof framing. We analyzed the entire atrium structure using the RISA 3d structural computer program. The new lifeline system and existing structure were found to be capable of safely supporting the loads generated during a fall incident.
