Challenge:

Existing piping will be subjected to hydro-testing to ensure the piping continues to operate in a safe manner. The piping runs across the bridge. A consultant evaluated the bridge for the additional loading. HEA was tasked to perform an unbiased technical review of that work product. Final HEA delivery was review comments only.

Resolution:

A closed-form solution was used to validate the computer analysis results. Further, the computer model was re-generated in-house. HEA recommendations were provided to the client.
